When Will Chalet Alpina Open?
Chalet Alpina is currently under construction at the base of Aspen Mountain, with project completion currently anticipated in 2030. Construction schedules can evolve, and residence-specific delivery, opening dates, and availability should be confirmed as the development progresses.
The new Lift One follows a separate construction schedule. Current sequencing anticipates lift installation in 2029, with the new lift targeted to begin operating during the 2029–2030 ski season, subject to construction progress, required approvals, and coordination among the parties involved.
Where the Project Stands
The historic Lift One Corridor is being transformed into a new mountainside district, bringing together Chalet Alpina, Aman Aspen, the Aspen Snowsports History Museum at Skiers Chalet, new public gathering spaces, and significant improvements to the base of Aspen Mountain.

The Lift One Transformation

Chalet Alpina Development Timeline
Current project information anticipates an overall construction period of approximately 40 to 44 months. Timing may change based on permitting, construction sequencing, and other project requirements.
2026 — Site Work & Early Construction
Following the 2025–26 ski season, Lift 1A was removed as work advanced within the Lift One corridor. Spring 2026 work included relocation of historic chalet structures together with excavation, shoring, foundation work, and other early construction activity.
2026–2028 — Major Construction
Major structural and vertical construction is anticipated to continue across the development during this period, subject to construction sequencing, permitting, and project requirements.
2028–2029 — Lift One Construction Work
Work associated with the planned new Lift One Telemix infrastructure is anticipated during the later stages of the redevelopment. Current reporting indicates the new Lift One is not expected to begin serving skiers until the 2029–2030 ski season — separate from Chalet Alpina's currently anticipated 2030 completion.
2030 — Anticipated Project Completion
