Aspen Mountain & Historic Lift One

The Lift One Corridor

The Lift One Corridor is one of the historic foundations of Aspen skiing. Today, this legendary base of Aspen Mountain is entering a new chapter, bringing together the planned new Lift One high-speed Telemix, combining gondola cabins and chairlift seating, Chalet Alpina, Aman Aspen, restored historic Skiers Chalet buildings, and a renewed connection between the mountain and downtown Aspen.

The Transformation Now Underway

The transformation of the Lift One Corridor is no longer simply a plan. It is underway.

Chalet Alpina is taking shape at the center of that transformation, where Aspen skiing heritage meets a new era of slopeside living. With the planned new Lift One gondola and high-speed Telemix alignment designed to run through the property, owners will be able to access Aspen Mountain directly from the property — without shuttles, road crossings, or walking in ski boots.

What the Lift One Transformation Means for Buyers

The transformation of the Lift One Corridor places Chalet Alpina at the center of one of the most significant changes to the base of Aspen Mountain in generations.

For buyers, the significance goes beyond ski access. It brings together a historic Aspen location, planned new Lift One high-speed Telemix gondola and chairlift infrastructure, planned true ski-in/ski-out living, and a renewed connection between the mountain and downtown — a combination that is difficult to replicate.

The new Lift One loading area at Dean Street is planned approximately 500 feet closer to town than the previous lift location, eliminating the uphill walk on South Aspen Street. The broader redevelopment also includes approximately two acres of new park space, public lockers, dedicated bicycle and pedestrian access on Dean Street, and improvements to Dean Street. Current reporting indicates the new Lift One is not expected to begin serving skiers until the 2029–30 ski season.
